[The morning finds Mithos on a trip to...the flower shop, of all places. It's for Martel (ever the lover of plants), so just shut up. Probably an odd decision to go in all this rain, but he has an umbrella handy. The rain is hardly a bother compared to an endless list of other items he can think of, mostly people.

When he returns, it is time to address some things that have gone unaddressed for too long.]


I know that you are well aware of my sister’s recent arrival. You are to go nowhere near Martel. If I see you, I will not hesitate to run you through on my blade.


[A pause, because he really can’t believe he’s about to willingly address them. With Yuan he could at least gloat, but the others... It is a necessary precaution, however.]


I am sure that many of you, with your annoying habit of finding out everything eventually, also know that Martel is presently in this world. You will all stay away from her. ...I’ve already said that I would choose the same path again if given the chance, and so I will continue to fight for and protect my sister. Consider this a generous warning.


[A while later in the day, after taking care of the above business with various enemies, he decides it is time for something more...pleasant. When he cracks open the journal again, he can’t quite keep the note of excitement out of his voice.]




Kaori, she’s here. Martel is here! I...thought you’d want to meet her.


[And afterwards, he wanders through the house to seek out his dearest sister.]

[Of course he notices Raine the moment he steps inside the shop. Which is really too bad, since he was in a fairly good mood beforehand. As far as Mithos goes, anyway.

He considers turning right around and leaving, but...no, he'll settle for pointedly ignoring her instead.]

It probably is in her best interest to ignore it, though her curiosity at least, keeps her aware of his movements while she busies herself with the plants in the area.

Could he be trying to take steps toward doing something constructive? But no, that probably would be asking for too much. She did wonder how Martel was adjusting, though. especially since she hadn't heard from the woman since her arrival a few days ago.]

[He still remembers which flowers and plants are Martel's favorites (naturally, what with him being the good and loving brother that he is), and he browses through the available flora in search of those items.

There's no way that Raine hasn't noticed him. He's somewhat surprised that she hasn't called him out, but he won't question a blessing. He does, however, make the mistake of briefly glancing over his shoulder, just to keep an eye out on her - which definitely does not fall into the category of "pointedly ignoring."]

[Her mind blanks, trying to process what it was that Mithos had said. Despite that, she could feel that small bubble of happiness form within her. She was here. That wonderful person who Mithos loved so much, that beautiful woman...

... And he wanted her to meet her.]

I knew she would arrive, and now she's here. [No matter how many times he says this it still makes him feel warm inside. He'll never tire of it.] I've been helping her get settled in.

[....Is this shop run by everyone he hates? No, scratch that, because there are a lot of people whom he hates.

Regardless, Mithos really doesn't want to exchange pleasantries with him. The last time that happened, it ended in a lot of unneeded frustration. His good mood was already ruined by Raine, and this is doing nothing to turn it around. Just be grateful none of that spit-take water touched him.]

[ By the time Mithos wanders to the house, he'll find his dearest sitting at the dining table with a thoughtful expression. Being that her journal was still upstairs in her room, she had not heard his death threats to all the inhabitants of Luceti. She snaps of her daydream when the door opens. ]

Mithos, you're back already! My, that was quite fast. Where did you go?

He walks over, setting the potted flowers on the table in front of her. Water drips from them, courtesy of the rainy day.]

[ She immediately smiles as he sets the flowers down. Her hand reaches over to one of the dewy petals. It was still cold outside, but there's only a few more weeks until spring finally arrives. ]

These are so lovely! When the time is right, I'll be planting these right away.
