[Yuan was expecting a quiet Christmas this year. It's been less than a week since he returned from the draft and with the weather being what it is, he's decided to just ignore the rest of the village entirely and lock himself in his room.

And then he opens his journal to find the following message from Mithos, who clearly hasn't recovered from his kidnapping effects yet: "Hi Yuin. How are you today?"

... Well.]

It's spelled Yuan. And I'm fine, thank you. [After a pause, he adds:] How are you?

[He's happy to see that Yuan replied. Yuan is the first half-elf he's met besides his sister, so he wants him to like him.]

[He's trying, darnit. He'd never heard of Christmas until a few days ago, so of course he doesn't know how to spell it. And he thinks that's a silly way to spell it anyway, with the ch and the t he can't hear in there.]
