I'm fine! [Okay, so maybe she squeaked that out and it only makes her blush all the more. And it wasn't technically a lie, aside from the intense amount of confusion and the growing sense of discomfort with the entire situation. Though really, what wasn't going to be awkward about your brother finding you in bed with a male friend?]
[An accident...? What was an accident? He turns to look at Kaori, sinking deeper and deeper into confusion by the moment. He's still trying to push away knotted February memories of sharing a bed with someone else in a very different manner, and wondering what the difference is. His eyes linger on her, but he tears away to answer Frey.
Except he doesn't know how to answer. He's still a flustered shade of red, but he forces his voice into something controlled and terse.]
I touched her hair. [It hadn't been an accident; he meant to do it, because he thought it would feel nice. It was a normal gesture of affection, wasn't it? His sister pet his hair all the time, and Sayo did too sometimes.] Do you have a problem with that, Freyjadour?
... He touched my leaves. [Can she go die in a hole with how mortified she is right now? Please say yes, because having to tell your brother you friend has practically groped you and doesn't even realize he has is warranting enough blood rushing to her face that she's starting to feel a little dizzy, and her face is actually a vivid red compared to the usual pink that happens. The amount of heat radiating from her as well must really be something, at least she doesn't sweat very easily or this likely would have been ugly before Mithos had even had a chance to defend himself.
But she's still sending a look in Frey's direction which clearly begs: please don't murder him.]
[He touched her...... Oh. He remembered, distantly, a rather awkward conversation about those... leaves. A very, very awkward topic indeed and one that had left him quite confused but at least aware of what they were. His eyes widen slightly at her confession, the pieces coming together.
Even though he now knew what Kaori had meant by 'accident' he looks rather angry anyway. He doesn't plan to murder Mithos, no, but he is acting on his earlier impulse and reaching over, yanking Mithos out of the bed by his shirt collar with a glare. The more distance right now, the better, he thinks. Mithos had just done something that was downright rude, though Frey could assume from Kaori's words it had either been a mistake on his part or he had not known.
He's actually showing some self restraint, here.]
I do, actually. Perhaps you should keep your hands to yourself unless given explicit permission, next time.
[His tone softens from the angry tone he'd used with Mithos as he faces Kaori once more, concerned.]
[He lets himself get yanked up by Frey, too bewildered to resist. Stumbling to his feet, he swats at Frey's hand. He hears the warning, but it's background noise - his eyes are on Kaori again. The terseness in his voice breaks down to raw confusion.]
Did...I do something wrong? [He could overlook Frey overreacting - he knows the human doesn't like him - but he doesn't understand Kaori's strange behavior. Leaves? What is she talking about...?]
S'fine! Just... an accident. [You know what, Frey? She's leaving the explanation up to you, because she's having a hard enough time trying to not focus on the lingering feelings or her own confusion.
At least it wasn't the leaves at her wrists, that would have been worse.]
Do you wish for me to remove him? [In all honesty, Mithos shouldn't even be here.
His grip on Mithos is a bit tighter then necessary, causing the cloth of his top to dig into his neck, but he does let go at the swat. As long as Mithos wasn't in a position where he might continue to make her uncomfortable, he was willing to let him stand on his own.
The tone of his voice leaves no question as to it being an accident, and that's enough for Frey to not kick him out immediately. In all honesty, Mithos should probably get an explanation so that this didn't happen again, but......
Well. He didn't know how, let alone if Kaori wanted him to explain. His tone is terse as he gives the only explanation he's sure won't cause extra embarrassment for any of them.]
That is why I say it is better to ask what is permissible, so such accidents are avoided.
[Better yet, just don't touch her like that at all.]
[His eyes are still directed at her.] I'll...I'll ask next time, Kaori. [Frey can think what he will of him. He says this only for Kaori's sake - if he did something wrong, he doesn't want to make the same mistake again, even if it wasn't his fault. Except...he doesn't know what that mistake was. Leaves? He touched her leaves... But what did that mean? His face stays red, the color of mortification.
Even through his confusion and embarrassment, he tries to enjoy these last glimpses of Kaori for the night. Because he gets the feeling that Frey isn't going to let him stay, even if she wanted him to. She did still want him to stay, right? She had asked him, but...if he made a mistake...? Annoyance at everything swells up in him.]

Just an accident, I think...

You were sharing the bed? What sort of accident was it, then?
[It didn't seem like 'just' an accident... at the moment, it's not going to occur to him that he possibly overreacting.]

Are you going to be alright, Kaori?
this is awful. i love both of you.
