It doesn't listen. [He flicks the knife's blade out, still idle at his side.] At least this one doesn't follow me around like the first two. [And he flicks the blade shut again. A sharp glance over his shoulder tells him that the elf has pathetically retreated down the length of the entryway hall.]
[Except before he can finish saying what he already said, there's a crash from within the house. Mithos turns to appraise what exactly happened, but he can't tell from here. However, he can guess the cause of the crash.] That worthless...!
[He stalks dangerously down the hallway, leaving Frey at the door, and the door wide open.]
[Frey has a good idea, too, having already dealt with some minor mishaps the elf that had taken to following him had caused. He doesn't even think twice before following Mithos quickly and quietly down the hallway, concerned about what sort of reaction this will provoke.]
[In the kitchen, the silverware drawer has toppled out and the floor is littered with forks, spoons, and knives - in the middle of the mess sits a dazed little elf. Judging by the way other drawers jut out, Mithos guesses the elf had been using them to climb up to the counter. The stupid thing had seemed to think that was a good idea a few other times. Stuck to the elf's pointy hat - and fluttering to the floor - are a few of the yellow sticky notes Mithos had saved from Sayo's apartment.]
[Glancing out from behind Mithos, Frey frowns slightly. It was just as he'd thought. The elf that had taken to following him had knocked several things from shelves before, not to mention fallen into a batch of cookie dough he was still mixing.
He just hoped Mithos would handle this with some degree of understanding.]
[The elf seems to have forgotten its fear from a few minutes ago - its smile wavers somewhere between chipper and maniacal as it stares up at Mithos.] "Christmas decorations!" [It waves one of the sticky notes around.] "You're a cakesniffer and wouldn't make any, so I was gonna make a Christmas tree design with these thingers!"
[Mithos snatches its hat up. He slips the knife back into his pocket, but only to pluck the sticky notes off.] How many times must I tell you not to touch these? [He tosses the hat back at the elf and takes advantage of its surprise by plucking the note from his little fingers.]
[Frey steps forward, but keeps some distance for now. Mithos had put away the knife.... he'd likely be able to intercept it if he did pull it out and try to cause harm to the elf.]
"You're no fuuuuuuuuuun!" [The elf begins to whine, but Mithos brings a swift end to that by kicking the poor thing into the wall. As if he has done little more than step on an ant or brush aside a ladybug, he begins to walk around the kitchen, returning the notes to their proper places.]
Mithos! [As soon as that leg shot out he was moving, but it was quicker an attack then the knife. He bends down to the elf, frowning in concern as he glances it over.]
[The elf stares up in a daze, and it appears to have only half-heard Frey. Weakly, it wags a finger at Mithos.] "You're...not getting off the naughty list anytime soon!" [Except in its confusion, it ends up directing the lecture at the wall.
Meanwhile, Mithos has tuned out its squeaky little voice as he re-applies a note to the bread-toasting appliance.]
[Well, he seemed to be ok, dazed maybe, but ok. Frey's still not pleased with this at all, though. He turns to Mithos, looking disappointed and just a little angry, but he's already long ago realized that anger is wasted here.] You shouldn't have done that.
